Mailbox Monday ~ April 9th
Welcome to Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia of To Be Continued, a place where readers share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week.
After several years of being on tour with different blogs as the monthly host, the Mailbox Monday Blog is now the permanent home for the meme.
Spring cleaning and finishing up income tax returns are on the schedule for me this week. Not very exciting but it has to get done. One would think as a former tax consultant that I would have them done early, but taxes are one of my least favorite tasks.
A few new books in the mailbox . . .
New Arrivals
Meet Me at the Museum by Anne Youngsonby from Flatiron Books.
In Denmark, Professor Kristian Larsen, an urbane man of facts, has lost his wife and his hopes for the future. On an isolated English farm, Tina Hopgood is trapped in a life she doesn’t remember choosing. Both believe their love stories are over.
Saving Tarboo Creek: One Family’s Quest to Heal the Land by Scott Freeman from Timber Press.
When the Freeman family decided to restore a damaged creek in Washington’s Olympic Peninsula—to transform it from a drainage ditch into a stream that could again nurture salmon— they knew the task would be formidable and the rewards plentiful.
The Anomaly by Michael Rutger from Grand Central Publishing.
If Indiana Jones lived in the X-Files era, he might bear at least a passing resemblance to Nolan Moore — a rogue archaeologist hosting a documentary series derisively dismissed by the “real” experts, but beloved of conspiracy theorists.

I loathe doing my tax returns. All three of your books look good, but I’m drawn toward Meet Me at the Museum. Enjoy your reading week!

I hate taxes! I’ve been in a spring cleaning mode too and have cleaned out a lot of junk. Saving Tarboo Creek sounds really good.

I hate tax time, too…so I got mine done in February. But I took mine to the accountant. Still, waiting for the “bad” news of how much more I might owe always ruins the holidays for me, just anticipating it. LOL. Good luck getting yours done.
Your books look good! Thanks for sharing, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
