Happy Hatch Day Jentrie
Jentrie is 24 years old today. Parrots can live a long time, some species up to 50 or 60 years. Sadly, it is rare that a parrot remains in the same home for his entire life. Jentrie is a Senegal Parrot and I adopted him three years ago.

If I let him do the choosing, it would be a Portillo’s beef and fries! His former family apparently let him eat a lot of table food. He’s on a healthy diet now, but today he got some oatmeal cookie and extra snap peas. Snap peas and jalapenos are a few of his favorites … well, favorite healthy foods anyway.
