Wordless Wednesday: Yellow-rumped Warbler

Almost wordless: The yellow-rumped warblers are still migrating through the Chicago area. This one was nice enough to stop for a photo.

Always good when a bird is good enough to stop off for its photo to be taken

I bet the warbler has a lovely sound. I’d love to hear it.

The birds are clearing out my feeders quickly these days as they gear up for migration.

They definitely are! I had about 200 grackles and blackbirds in my cottonwood tree. The tree was shimmering. And of course they cleared out the feeders. This warbler was in the forest preserve but he is more than welcome to come to my yard.
