Almost wordless: Always nice to see Mrs. Cardinal at the feeder. She’s a bit shy, though, so I had to take this from a distance.

That makes me think of my grandmother. We used to watch birds together and she taught me you can tell the female cardinal from the male because she’s wearing lipstick. I’ve never forgotten that!
