Mailbox Monday ~ April 11th
Welcome to Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia of To Be Continued, a place where readers share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week.
After several years of being on tour with different blogs as the monthly host, the Mailbox Monday Blog is now the permanent home for the meme.
My indoor plants are blooming but I’m still awaiting the arrival of spring weather and some outdoor color. Aside from a few brave daffodils and some green grass, it’s still pretty barren in the garden. A dusting of snow yesterday didn’t help!
I finally got my income taxes done with a few days to spare. I know, I waited until the last minute. But as a former tax consultant, taxes are the last thing I wanted to think about. And I tend to procrastinate anyway.
Just one new book last week. . .
New Arrivals
Vinegar Girl by Anne Tyler from LibraryThing.
Anne Tyler’s retelling of The Taming of the Shrew asks whether a thoroughly modern, independent woman like Kate would ever sacrifice herself for a man. The answer is as individual, off-beat and funny as Kate herself.
