Mailbox Monday ~ April 4th
Welcome to Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia of To Be Continued, a place where readers share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week.
After several years of being on tour with different blogs as the monthly host, the Mailbox Monday Blog is now the permanent home for the meme.
A few new books arrived last week, and hopefully spring is here too. We had a crazy Midwestern weekend of rain, hail, snow, wind, and then 70 degree warmth on Sunday. So I went out in the garden for an hour or so and stretched pulled a few muscles cleaning up some of the winter debris.
New Arrivals
The Weekenders by Mary Kay Andrews from Tandem Literary.
Riley Griggs has a season of good times with friends and family ahead of her on Belle Isle when things take an unexpected turn. While waiting for her husband to arrive on the ferry one Friday afternoon, Riley is confronted by a process server who thrusts papers into her hand. And her husband is nowhere to be found.
The Fireman by Joe Hill from William Morrow.
…a chilling novel about a worldwide pandemic of spontaneous combustion that threatens to reduce civilization to ashes and a band of improbable heroes who battle to save it, led by one powerful and enigmatic man known as the Fireman.
Wilde Lake by Laura Lippman from William Morrow.
The bestselling author of the acclaimed standalones After I’m Gone, I’d Know You Anywhere, and What the Dead Know, challenges our notions of memory, loyalty, responsibility, and justice in this evocative and psychologically complex story about a long-ago death that still haunts a family.
