Mailbox Monday ~ December 14th
Welcome to Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia of To Be Continued, a place where readers share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week.
After several years of being on tour with different blogs as the monthly host, the Mailbox Monday Blog is now the permanent home for the meme.
Yes, I know, I’m late posting today. I ran out of time yesterday and didn’t want to stay up late because I had to get to work early this morning. I’ve been working a temporary holiday job, plus I’m still volunteering at the bird shelter. The job ends this week, so things should start to get back to normal around here. Reading has been minimal the past month and I’m ready to sit down with a good book. I know I have more than a few to choose from!
New Arrivals
Try Not to Breathe by Holly Seddon from Ballantine Books.
An arresting debut novel of psychological suspense: a young journalist struggles to keep the demons of her alcoholism at bay as she finds her purpose again in tackling the mystery of a shocking headline-making crime, still unsolved after fifteen years.
The Never-Open Desert Diner by James Anderson from LibraryThing.
A singularly compelling debut novel, about a desert where people go to escape their past, and a truck driver who finds himself at risk when he falls in love with a mysterious woman.
