Almost wordless: Although this wildflower is called ‘prairie’ trillium, it’s actually a woodland spring ephemeral.

      Now that the forest preserve district is doing regular burns and managing the invasive species (ie Buckthorn, ugh) the Trillium are starting to return in greater numbers.
