Wordless Wednesday: Late Bloomers

SnapDragons_IMG_3727

Almost wordless: Although it’s late October, a few determined snapdragons are still blooming in my garden.

I love snapdragons, a favourite from childhood. I didn’t see your linky to the meme earlier.

I got my post up late today so that may be why you missed it. This patch of snapdragons are wonderful – they reseed themselves and bloom all summer.

Lucky you! the cold weather is here and I’m missing my flowers already. Lovely photo.

It’s been cold here – hovering near freezing a few nights. That’s why I was surprised they were still making flowers. By October usually only the hardier plants like begonia and geranium have flowers.

Me too! I really miss my flowers during the (way too) long winter.

So pretty. It was a freakish 70 degrees here today, but cooling off quickly.

My SIL next door has “peace roses” in bloom.

Was 78 here on Monday! Now it’s in the 40s. One of my rose bushes has two buds that look ready to bloom. They will not be happy when it goes below freezing Friday night.
