Wordless Wednesday: Oak Leaf

Oak Leaf

Almost wordless: Some trees were still dropping leaves last week. This one was illuminated by the setting sun in a field of snow. Not sure what type of Oak Tree this fell from – probably a Black Oak.

Lovely! Those oaks really hold on to their leaves.

We still have leaves falling, too — even when we had a few inches of snow on the ground! It’s definitely a sight to see. Lovely picture!

This was one of those rare times when the lighting was perfect. Other than cropping and a little sharpening it’s right out of the camera.

I love how the snow melted slightly around the edges of the leaf.

That is really beautiful! The photo looks nearly unreal because it is so perfect.

The contrast and simplicity are what makes this image so appealing I think.
