Wordless Wednesday: Hello Spring? Where are you!

Canada Goose McKee Marsh

Almost wordless: Today is the first day of spring. The marsh is still frozen, temps are below freezing and the geese are walking on ice.

Looks like spring in my neighborhood too! Oh well, it’ll get here eventually.

The persistent cold and frozen ground is getting annoying! Last year at this time the flowering trees were all in bloom and the daffodils were up and smiling.

If you find it, send it my way. Blue skies at the moment but snow is moving in.

I’d swear that picture is of my parents’ property. Where is this? Lakeville Lake in Michigan?

It’s McKee Marsh, about 25 miles west of Chicago.

It doesn’t seem like Spring here either. Although we have been seeing robins and red-winged blackbirds that we didn’t see over the winter.

Nice photo. We are still waiting for spring, too. I’m sure you’ll get it before we do. I hope that it arrives soon.
