Wordless Wednesday: Return of the Robin
Almost wordless: While out walking in the nature park a few days ago I saw a couple of robins splashing around in a stream. On Sunday there was a pair of robins in my backyard. When the winter flocks begin to break up, spring is near.

Spring already? Here in Europe we are still expecting the coldest days of the year. We have also just received a large package of snow.

What a surprise to see Robins in January. I’ll have to watch my yard to see if they ventured farther north from your area 🙂

This is the first time I’ve seen solitary robins in my yard in January. Usually they appear after Valentine’s Day and until then stay in large flocks in the woods.

I hope spring is near as well! Winter and I don’t play well together.

Wow! I’d probably fall over if I saw a robin here any time soon, lol. It’s been WAY below zero the last few days. Brrrrr!

those robins would be icicles here at the moment.

Yay! Spring! Of course it’s like 13 outside right now, so I’m not expecting it any time soon.

It’s freezing here for the last few days too but all my regular birds are hanging out in my yard. I have a heated bird bath and probably some of the only liquid drinking water in town. No robins though!
