2013 Challenges
While I love audiobooks, I’ve decided not to join the Audiobook Challenge this year. I listened to 60 books in 2012 and, to be fair, it’s no longer a challenge for me. I’m also not joining any TBR Pile challenges after failing miserably in 2012.
I joined What’s in a Name, a fun favorite, and the Reagan Arthur Books and Amy Einhorn Books perpetual, no pressure challenges. I added one new challenge this year: War Through The Generations.
What’s in a Name 6
The What’s In A Name Challenge is hosted by Beth Fish Reads.
Between January 1 and December 31, 2013, read one book in each of the following categories:
1. A book with up or down (or equivalent) in the title
2. A book with something you’d find in your kitchen
3. A book with a party or celebration in the title
4. A book with fire (or equivalent) in the title
5. A book with an emotion in the title
6. A book with lost or found (or equivalent) in the title
War Through the Generations
War Through the Generations 2013 reading challenge will be the American Revolution. The challenge will run from January 1, 2013, through December 31, 2013. The challenge is hosted by Anna (Diary of an Eccentric) and Serena (Savvy Verse & Wit).
Participation Level:
Dip: Read 1-3 books in any genre with the American Revolution as a primary or secondary theme.
Perpetual Challenges
I plan on reading 2 or more books from each of these challenges in 2013.
Reagan Arthur Books Challenge hosted by Kathy/Bermuda Onion and Julie/Booking Mama.
The basic idea of the challenge is really simple — to read Reagan Arthur Books. Reagan Arthur Books is a new imprint from Little, Brown & Company.
Amy Einhorn Challenge hosted by Beth Fish Reads.
This is a no-pressure challenge to read through the Amy Einhorn Books imprint in any order with no time limit.

Good luck with your challenges 🙂 I’m *trying* to stay away from them in 2013. They are all so tempting though! I did join Roof Beam Reader’s TBR Pile challenge 🙂

I joined that one last year and didn’t read a single book on my list! It’s the only challenge I failed, but I did learn that I can’t stick to a predetermined list, I have to read what my mood tells me to read. So I stick with challenges that are flexible.

Good luck with the challenges. I see that you’ve chosen relaxed challenges with easy levels, good! I know from experience {cough} that it’s hard to finish lots of challenges with unrealistic high numbers of books to read.
