Hi Leslie,
You were so fortunate to capture this great stand-off. There is some serious ‘eyeing up’ of the competition going on here, who backed down first I wonder?
Thanks for sharing,

The chipmunk was the aggressor. He kept creeping closer and closer while bunny held his ground. Right after I took this shot bunny ran into the Hosta a few feet away.

They seem a little unsure with each other. Great photo!

That bunny’s just not sure what to think. I think that photo could be the start of a great children’s book.

True, I was thinking that it’s just begging for a witty caption!

Oh my goodness! I’m surprised they held still long enough for you to snap a pic!

They barely stayed still. What I love about the DSLR camera is that I can fire off a burst of shots and then keep the one or two that are in focus.

Cute! Awesome timing and find! We haven’t seen any baby chipmunks or bunnies yet (I’m sure they are around), but we do have a few fawn around and a litter of 5 raccoons.

I am overrun by chipmunks and bunnies this year… and baby House Sparrows. I haven’t seen any little raccoons but I’m sure they’re out there.

Adorable! Haven’t seen any bunnies, but we are loaded with chipmunks.

The little chipmunks sit under the bird feeder and wait for the seeds to fall. I think the ones in my yard are bringing their friends.

What a great photo! It looks professional! We live in the boonies and have lots of critters around here too. They are much cuter in pictures than when they are eating your flowers or chewing through wires.
I like to fire off a bunch of shots with my camera too. How did we ever survive before digital cameras??

Munching on flowers and veggies are a problem. I fenced the veggie garden and for the flowers I have a spray call ‘Deer Off’, which also works on rabbits. It’s organic and is supposed to make the plants taste like rotten eggs and hot peppers. Blech. So far it’s working and the bunnies are avoiding the plants I sprayed.

Aw, they are so cute! I love seeing bunnies in the wild. Usually what happens is my husband notices them and then I don’t turn fast enough and they hop away before I can catch a glimpse.

These bunnies are like pets. They don’t move until I get a few feet away. Two of them sat in the yard and watched me work this morning. One was munching on an apple and the other just sat and stared at me.
