Definitely bad for those with allergies. I could only stay about 30 min in the prairie, my eyes were swelling up. But I was determined to get a few good shots before I left.

One thing that’s hard for me to get used to is the fact that the rambling milkweed that I have on one portion of my fence never goes to seed like this. Your photo is what I’m used to– even after all these years in the desert! The desert version is quite aggressive, and if the butterflies didn’t like it so much, I’d get rid of it all.
