I remember evenings when rabbits would come out of the cornfields on the other side of the road to come into our yard to eat clover. For some reason, they never ate anything in our large garden. I still haven’t figured out why!

I leave a patch of clover and a wild area behind the garage for them but still they prefer the veggies.

LOL…they have to eat too! I heard someone complaining about chipmunks eating their tomatoes recently too.

For years I was blaming the chipmunks and squirrels. And then I saw this little one with the tomato in his mouth! He didn’t even leave when I came outside with the camera.

Intriguing. Perhaps, that is why my hand was all yucky when I as I reached for that plump tomato on the vine and the back half had been eaten off by some varmit. I never considered peter cottontail.

I didn’t know they ate tomatoes until I saw him munching on it.

I’d let him have the flowers and bean plants just so I could look at him. He’s beautiful!

I had a nest of 5 bunnies in my lawn. They were so adorable it was hard to get mad at them.

I always heard stories about rabbits ravaging gardens but have never seen it. Deer are the more likely culprit in central Texas.

Ooooh — CUTE! I grow my tomatoes in hanging bags, so any bunnies we get in the yard don’t bother them — I didn’t know they would eat tomatoes, though!

He is cute, but he must learn that crime doesn’t pay. 🙂

Yup, definitely a cutie. We have a few around. I haven’t seen one chomping on any plants yet, but I hear they can be quite sneaky. Rascally Rabbit.
