Mailbox Monday ~ June 26th
Welcome to Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia of To Be Continued, a place where readers share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week.
After several years of being on tour with different blogs as the monthly host, the Mailbox Monday Blog is now the permanent home for the meme.
A variety this week. A couple of new books plus a very cool-looking red tote bag (I can never have too many tote bags!) from Harper and a new non-fiction audio book on birds from Tantor Media.
It’s the last week of June and that means it is still Audiobook Month for another few day. I am giving away three free audio downloads to one lucky winner courtesy of audiobook.com. Enter by Wednesday for a chance to win.
New Arrivals
The Wonder of Birds: What They Tell Us about Ourselves, the World, and a Better Future by Jim Robbins.
A fascinating investigation into the miraculous world of birds and the powerful–and surprising–ways they enrich our lives and sustain the planet.
The Reason You’re Alive by Matthew Quick.
The New York Times-bestselling author of The Silver Linings Playbook offers a timely novel featuring his most fascinating character yet, a Vietnam vet embarking on a quixotic crusade to track down his nemesis from the war.
Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz plus a tote bag.
From the New York Times bestselling author of Moriarty and Trigger Mortis, this fiendishly brilliant, riveting thriller weaves a classic whodunit worthy of Agatha Christie into a chilling, ingeniously original modern-day mystery.

I have my name at the library for The Magpie Murders. I enjoyed so much the previous adult book by Horowitz – I haven’t tried any of his children books.
right now catching up on the last 2 books by Louise Penny, to be ready for her latest in August. since Ralph Cosham’s passing, I have switched from audio to print – I don’t like at all the new narrator. so un-Gamache I think.
