Wordless Wednesday: Camouflage Toad

Almost wordless: This guy was hiding in the zucchini patch in my garden. He blended in with the wood chips and I didn’t see him until he popped up and scared the bleep! out of me. Annoyed by my presence, he hopped into the acorn squash. I haven’t seen him since.

We live next to a pond and have lots of frogs and/or toads in our yard. They startle me all the time!

I love looking at frogs and toads! Probably because I rarely see them here – just the occasional tiny tree frog.

Oh my, they would have heard me screaming blocks away. Lol. We don’t have any frogs or toads around here which is probably a good thing.
