Saturday Snapshot: Snowy Bridge
A snow storm is predicted for tonight and lasting through tomorrow. I thought I’d get ahead of the weather and post a photo I took last December.

That is so beautiful! We get snow so rarely here in the valley that we can go years between seeing scenes like that.

As Chicago winters go, this was taken on a fairly warm day, only a few degrees below freezing.

The composition is so lovely too! I love how the bridge and lamppost contrast the tangled branches.

It was a perfect day for photos. Early morning light, snow had stopped falling, not too windy, and no other people around.

Love the snowy picture! The bridge adds just the right touch. Wish I had snow to take pictures of right now…instead of the wet, cold rain that’s been falling all day.
