A weekly meme about (mostly) books and reading. This week’s question is:
What is the first book you remember reading? What about the first that made you really love reading?
Aside from the assorted Golden Books that I read as a child, my first full length book that I remember reading was Charlotte’s Web. I still have my original copy of it on my bookshelf. From then on I started asking for more books and remember receiving a few in the Nancy Drew series. I absolutely loved A Wrinkle In Time and that set off my love for the science fiction genre. What made me love reading? I could envelope myself into the world the author created and escape into the story.
Under My Apple Tree 
I can’t recall my first book but I do recall that, I was hooked on Enid Blyton. She, in a way, has influenced my interest in Crime fiction.
Then I used to devour the Nancy Drew books along with Hardy Boys. However, but those came much later.
