Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event hosted by The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

With a large TBR pile staring at me I wasn’t planning to take out any books from the library this week. That changed when I received an ARC for Antiphon, book 3 of the Psalms of Isaak series by Ken Scholes. In order to participate fully in forum discussions I needed to get up to speed and read the first two books, Lamentation and Canticle.

An ancient weapon has completely destroyed the city of Windwir. From many miles away, Rudolfo, Lord of the Nine forest Houses, sees the horrifying column of smoke rising. He knows that war is coming to the Named Lands.

Nearer to the Devastation, a young apprentice is the only survivor of the city–he sat waiting for his father outside the walls and was transformed as he watched everyone he knew die in an instant.

Soon, all the Kingdoms of the Named Lands will be at one another’s throats, as alliances are challenged and hidden plots are uncovered.

This is an excellent SciFi-Fantasy series. If you’re a fan and like me you haven’t read these yet I highly recommend you give them look.

You have a large TBR pile and you just started blogging? Oh dear, you’re in trouble! 😉 But I guess that’s the burden we readers must carry, right? Always having a long list of books we want to read? 🙂

I have two shelves of books I picked up at library sales and book fairs… all books I’m going to read someday. Sometimes I worry that the pile of books will outlive me! lol
