Mailbox Monday ~ February 19th

Welcome to Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia of To Be Continued, a place where readers share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week.

After several years of being on tour with different blogs as the monthly host, the Mailbox Monday Blog is now the permanent home for the meme.

Only 29 more days until spring. Regular visitors know I start counting down about this time of the year. I am so not a winter person!

I’m watching the morning rain wash away the snow from this past weekend. The ground is still frozen so it’s a bit of a mess, but it’s going to be warmer today, and I’m already thinking about the upcoming gardening season. My new portable greenhouse arrived and I can’t wait to set it up and get an early start on my early season vegetable crops.

In the book world, a couple of surprise audio books showed up in my mailbox from Blackstone Audio (thank you!). They are both genres I enjoy and sound very good. I also received a paperback copy of Wicked City by Beatriz Williams from William Morrow.

New Arrivals

The Liar’s Girl by Catherine Ryan Howard from Blackstone Audiobooks.

A psychological thriller about a woman trying to escape a horrific past.

The Big Get-Even by Paul Di Filippo from Blackstone Audiobooks.

A disbarred lawyer and an ex-arsonist cross paths and find themselves organizing an elaborate real-estate scam to bilk a shady rich speculator out of twenty million dollars.

The Wicked City by Beatriz Williams from William Morrow.

A deliciously spicy adventure that mixes past and present and centers on a Jazz Age love triangle involving a rugged Prohibition agent, a saucy redheaded flapper, and a debonair Princetonian from a wealthy family.

Oh, yes, spring is good! We have short ones, though, followed by long hot summers…LOL.

Enjoy your books, and I am intrigued by The Liar’s Girl. Have a great week!
