Mailbox Monday ~ March 13th

Welcome to Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia of To Be Continued, a place where readers share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week.

After several years of being on tour with different blogs as the monthly host, the Mailbox Monday Blog is now the permanent home for the meme.

Just when my spring perennials thought it was safe to poke up their first leaves, winter returned with cold temps and snow. And I was getting into a gardening mood after receiving a new cookbook last week with recipes that focus on using locally-sourced and home-grown foods. I’ve already bought some of my seeds and have been planning the garden design. Six more days until spring!

We have six inches of snow with more expected through the day (we’re close to the lake). My tulips were peeking out last week, sigh. I hope it’s a great cookbook – looks perfect for you!

I am ready to start gardening too! But there is a blanket of white snow on the ground again here in Minnesota. 😦

We had a cold snap over the weekend too. I wish the weather would make up it’s mind!

That cookbook looks really neat! I hope you enjoy it.

I’ve been noticing the return of cold weather for lots of bloggers. So mean and cruel of Mother Nature! I hope it is a brief cold snap.

Your new book looks lovely! Enjoy! Thanks for sharing, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

What an adorable mailbox graphic – love it.

    That garden book looks terrific.

My perennials are out too about four inches. Poor plants must be in shock…they are covered from the last snow of three inches. We are to get about five inches starting tonight.

    Where are you Spring?

    Have a great week, Leslie.

We’re having our coldest weather of the winter and I am not a fan. I hope you find a lot of great recipes in that book.

Sorry if you’ve lost the flowers to the cold weather. Hope you’re staying safe.
I love seeing books like this – even though I don’t cook. I’m blessed that my hubby loves to cook.
    Happy reading… and cooking!
