Wordless Wednesday: Waiting For Spring

Picnic Tables - Churchill Woods_IMG_0597

Almost wordless: I know, I said I was tired of snow, but the picnic tables were just calling out for a photo. Look at the table on the far right, the tree is growing between the bench and table.

Trees have a way of growing anywhere, even without water sometime. Great shot and I am ready for Spring.

Yeah, here too. We’re back in the deep freeze today with more snow on the way for Friday.

You have my sympathy with all that snow. We only had a little bit and I didn’t like it at all. I love that determined tree!

Even though I’m tired of the cold and snow, I sure do love your photo. And I think it’s neat that the tree was left to grow between the bench and table.

Beautiful. Our weather is never that gorgeous here. Instead, we get attempts at flurries and a few frigid days here and there. 🙂

The snow stays pretty in the forest preserves but the stuff in town gets ugly pretty fast.

If our snow would pile up and stay, I might be happy with it. There’s such a prettiness to the white blanket of winter. Our snow comes one day though in smatterings and goes the next, leaving bitter cold it its wake. I’m ready for the sun, the warmth, and spring. 🙂

Right now I’m ready for the snow to go away! We are only a foot from breaking the record for snowiest year in Chicago but I’d rather not see any more of it. We’ve had lots of bitter cold too which seems to follow every snowfall.

It truly is the year of the long (cold) winter; this will certainly make us appreciate the warmth of spring and summer this year.
