The Last Warm Days

Instead of writing I’ve been out enjoying the last nice days of autumn, watching birds and taking photos before the snow and cold arrives in the Midwest. So today, instead of the usual book review or bookish post, here’s a photo of one of the trails where I go for walks.

Beautiful! Our leaves were glorious this year but then we had a few VERY windy days so they all fell too darn soon. (I’m in Wisconsin)

I hope we have a lot of warm days ahead of us. I also hope we have a snowless winter.

Beautiful…thanks. Nice trail to walk along. I love the oranges and reds together.

Our trees were not looking too great the past sweek, but today they are starting to show more reds and coppers. They look great.

That’s gorgeous! The birds have been taunting me this week. Showing off until I get out the camera, then flying away. :)

Looks like a lovely place to wander! I’m so excited that fall is here. Our trees have just about peaked in Maryland . . . probably just another week or so of color, and then it’ll be time to rake.
