PETER TROY is a former journalist and high school history teacher. He lives in New York State, where he is at work on his next novel.

I love the idea that the story embodies the American experience thru the four main characters. The story covers a huge amount of time, from the Civil War forward. The reader can follow these characters and their decendants and end with a satisfied feeling that a total story has been told. Thanks for the chance to win this interesting book!
